New product: Enviro Clean - Washing powder & pre-soaker

A week or two ago I ran out of soapnuts, & I kept debating whether to buy more or try something new. In the end I took a look at what other products were available & came across Enviro clean. I grabbed a 1kg tub, & I'm pretty happy I did. This stuff has been working wonderfully, I really like the mild citrus scent too :) I've done a half dozen (or more) loads so far & I'm really impressed with the wash quality.
So how does it compare to soapnuts? It has a few major advantages, here are the pro's & cons I have found for each so far...
...
Soapnuts:
Pro's - Cleans well, Pleasant gentle scent, Very basic & natural, Grey water safe, Suitable for top & front loading washing machines, Good for sensitive people & allergy sufferers, Versatile, Good number of washes per pack, very low sudsing
Con's - Over time the natural brown colour of the soapnuts can start to affect light coloured clothes, Grown & shipped from the Himalayas, Slightly more effort to use than standard washing powder
...
Enviro clean:
Pro's - Cleans very well, Pleasant citrus scent, Grey water safe, Suitable for top & front loading washing machines, Australian made & owned, 2 in 1 wash & soak, short simple ingredients list, Easy to use
Con's - More ingredients than the soapnuts, Can leave some white powdery residue if load is too big (don't overload machine, & this should never happen), *no more known as yet*

I really like both of these products, but overall the Enviro clean is winning me over, because it does such good quality wash, & it's a little less fussy to use. I have a soft spot for soapnuts though, they also do a wonderful job, they're completely natural, & I have come to love their natural scent.
Both products can be found at most large health food shops, or online -

Winter walk with voddle Addi

This morning I was finally feeling well enough to take Addi out, I've been down with a cold for the past 5 days ◎x☆...{♯××}┘
I grabbed Addi a 'cheap as chips' doggie coat from a $2 shop to keep her newly clipped little body from getting too cold, & we were off! I think we caught the best of the weather too, seems to be turning cold now...
Here are a few pics I snapped on my phone (I always, always forget my camera... kinda prefer using my phone somehow anyway...)
...
Suspension bridge! I call it the wobble bridge, & it feels really weird to walk on, I love it, but Addi gets tired of it pretty quickly & wants solid ground.
...
New jacket. No compromising you're dignity, keep your head up Beanie! へ(゜∇、°)へ
...
Posing (she wants off by this stage ':)
...
Random pretty pine tree.
...
I also shot a short bit of video on my phone, it's not the best quality, but if you've ever wanted to experience the shear horror of being charged by a voodle in a ridiculous purple jacket, today is your day!
...
...
Have a great day everyone!
I have a few more posts lined up, I've just been a little out of order, but they're on the way!
Ja! ( ゚▽゚)/

My first (scrappy as hell) duct tape wallet (゜▽゜;)

Having always had an inexplicable fascination/adoration for duct tape wallets, I decided it was finally time to try my hand at making one ]: )
After spending most of Tuesday looking at wallets online (duct tape & otherwise) I was keen to get started, I got the tape yesterday, & today my first wallet is done.
It's very messy (I'm calling it monsterZero) but it has a certain charm, & I learned bits & pieces as I went, predominately; make sure you have the right tools! Doing things by eye, with scissors just doesn't cut it when you're messing with duct tape, 'frustrating sticky mess' pretty much sums it up >_> So if you're going to attempt this, get yourself a cutting mat, a good cutting tool, & a ruler, & your experience is likely to be far more pleasant than mine ':)

I wanted something small & minimal that I could fit in my pocket, plus I wanted to keep things fairly simple for my first attempt :p As I mentioned it's very rough, & kinda ugly (in an endearing kind of way), but hey, for my first try I think it's ok.
I'd highly recommend giving this a go, it's fun, low tech, & pretty cheap. I'm looking forward to working out some different designs & experimenting with colours, images, etc.

Here's a 2 min time-lapse vid by 'theducttapeguy' making a wallet, to give you an idea of how it's done...
...
...
BTW, I made my wallet based off of a tutorial made by someone else, it was good, but no where near as amazing as this guys', he's super pro 0_0 I feel like I have a much better idea of how to do it now :p

Get busy guys!

All the best (.=^・ェ・^=)

Spreading the vegan love! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧

Recently I've been floating about the internet seeking vegan resources, mostly online shops, but I bookmarked anything I liked. Here are a few I like the best so far -
...
Vegansaurus - Awesome vegan blog full of useful/interesting/funny info.
...
Vegan Online - A great online vegan shop with a wide range of products, based here in Aus.
...
Kitten Camaro - Lot's of super cool wallets, ID cases, passport covers, etc. Prices are really good, downside is they're based in the USA (as so many shops are) so long distance shipping, not terribly eco friendly(−_−;)
...
Vegan Health - Great resource for vegan dietary info.
...
FatFree Vegan Kitchen - Low fat vegan foodie blog.
...
Hope you all find them helpful :)
Ja.

Here are some of the nicer photos I took on my phone in the last month...

I spotted these in the bottom garden bed, they just shot right out [: I

Took this one while riding, hence the shaky/blurry-ness :p

My favourite tofu (slightly delayed) + A few autumn photos :)

So last week after I said I would share a pic of my favourite tofu I went to buy some, & after a quick trip to the health food store I came back with everything but the tofu *facepalm* Hence the delay(*/∇\*)
That aside, here it is -
...
...
As you can see from the photo, it's bio-dynamic & non-GMO :D It's also Gluten-free, as most tofu is, but always check the label to be sure!
The thing that really stands out for me, & puts this tofu above all others is the texture. It's firm, but has a nice spring to it, & it's really nice to eat.
So if you spot this brand, definitely give it a try, I give it two thumbs upヽ(´`)ノ
...
Last week on May 31st, I went for my last autumn walk of the year, the following day of course being the first of winter :) Beanie & I strolled around the burbs until the sun was gone & the cold started to set in. I savoured the autumn colours & the cool damp air, whilst Beanie frantically tried to spot a rabbit.
I snapped a few quick shots using the phone on my camera, & a few were quite nice. Check them out -

I hope everybody is doing well [。◕‿◕。]/
